Maple Burl Bowl

Crafted from a maple tree that was removed from residential Fort Worth for safety reasons, this bowl was thin-turned and finished using fire, oil, and wax. On the exterior, the timber was subjected to a series of scorching, handbrushing, and waxing; whilst the interior was oiled and waxed, creating a beautiful duality between the interior and exterior.
