Ebonized Pear Bowl

This bowl was turned from a fallen pear tree that was toppled by a summer storm in Fort Worth, Texas. The bowl was allowed to stretch and warp during the drying process, creating a ripple through the quilted sections of the timber. Once dry, the bowl underwent a series of ebonizing processes, resulting in seemingly obsidian-like ripples across the bottom of the bowl.

Care Instructions: Avoid excessive moisture and submersion. Dust with a non-abrasive cloth or duster as required. Not intended to hold or contact any moisture/liquids. Use care when dusting around thin edges and natural voids.
