Spalted Beech Bowl I

This bowl was thin-turned from American Beech to create an elegant, delicate bowl. The timber was left to naturally spalt for several months before processing and turning. The spalting lines are a beautiful display of natural forces at work on the timber. After turning, the bowl was left unfinished with oil and wax to display the natural beauty of the timber. 

This form is not finished with any oil or wax.

Care Instructions: Avoid excessive moisture and submersion. Dust with a dry, non-abrasive cloth or duster as required and not intended to hold or contact any moisture/liquids. Use care when dusting around thin edges and natural voids. Limit handling with bare hands, as oils from fingers may discolor the wood.
